One of the hallmarks of a high-quality manufacturer lies in the depth of their partner training offerings — which is particularly important in the fast-moving security industry. Both integrators and end users deserve a partner that helps them make the most of the technology and support long after the installation is complete.
Frontier University is designed to keep integrators and salespeople knowledgeable in this quickly evolving industry. Leveraging decades of experience and focused on continually improving customer satisfaction, the Frontier team created a flexible, customizable approach to training that suits each individual’s needs.
Jonathon Hike, Solution Trainer for Frontier, explains that in-depth system understanding is a priority with all training efforts at the company. “We’re very hands on with our training. When our partners come to Ohio for training, we spend as much time as they need going over things. If they don’t understand something, we really work with them until we find a way to explain it.”
Frontier University includes both sales and technician training:
Sales Training includes a full suite of interactive training sessions that cover the benefits and features of Frontier Integrated Platform software, hardware and Frontier Video. These sessions also include take-away materials and demonstration kits to help sales staff fully prepare for meeting with prospective customers.
Technician Training is a bit more in-depth, providing a deep understanding of the Frontier Access Control and Frontier Video applications, from installation and configuration to troubleshooting techniques for field personnel. Technicians receive a well-rounded understanding of the product line from this hands-on interactive training.
Both Sales and Technician Training offer attendees Course and Continuing Education Credits in Frontier software, hardware, camera and video design, as well as a robust suite of optional features.
To best fit each student’s needs, Frontier offers both in-person training, at Frontier’s Miamisburg, Ohio, headquarters, and online training. The company’s e-learning site includes documentation, hands-on learning, a searchable knowledgebase, glossary, and user group forums.
Frontier even offers training and online software and hardware overviews for end users — all in an effort to ensure that Frontier technology provides users a highly effective, user-friendly experience.
On the Horizon
Frontier is always working to make their training program even more accessible. The company recently debuted its new e-learning website, which partners can access through the Frontier Partner Portal.
And in early 2015, all Frontier training material will be available online, giving salespeople and integrators an even more powerful learning opportunity. The new e-learning content includes brief training videos, which provide Frontier partners the chance to supplement their in-person training or learn online at their own pace.
